Belgaum Chess Congratulates Shashank Benadikar of M V Herwadkar English Medium School Belgaum for winning the U-16 Rapid Chess Tournament held in Dharwad! The tournament attracted aroound 70 players! Abhijeet Devraj bagged 2nd place in the and Ninad v Prabhu Khanolkar of M V Herwadkar bagged 3rd in the same tournament!

RESULTS OF 1 DAY RAPID CHESS TOURNAMENT:
One day Rapid Chess Tournament was sucessfully conducted by the BDCAssn @ Hotel Pai Party hall, Nehru nagar, Belagum on Sunday, 16/12/2007. The tourney attracted 42 players of various age category. The event was sponsoured by M/s. Sourabha Enterprises (Authorised dealer for TATA BP Solar I Ltd). The tournament was 6 rounds swiss league managed by Sri. D.R. Rao, Sri.P.K.Kulkarni, Sri. Prakash Desai, Sri. C.D.Navalgund, & Sri. Aniket Pawashe.
Prize distribution ceremony held @ 6.30 p.m. Sri . R.K.Desai , senior member and owner of M/s. India Motors , Belgaum and Smt. Jyotsna Pai, Partner, M./s. Pai foods, were chief guest and guest of honour on the occasion. RESULTS ARE AS FOLLOWS:

Belgaum District Chess(club) Association,Belgaum, is organising ONE DAY OPEN RAPID CHESS TOURNAMENT on 16th December, 2007. Apart from main prizes different age category prizes will also be given.
